About
SC Share is a private, strictly non-commercial fan project for
managing Star Citizen inventories with friends. There is no paid
access, no advertising, and no revenue of any kind. Access is granted
by personal approval only — this is a closed circle, not a public
service.

Data & Privacy
What this site processes, in plain words. Legal basis throughout is
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the service you asked for) unless
noted otherwise.
- Sign-in: via Discord OAuth or an email one-time code.
Despite this app only requesting Discord's minimal "identify" scope,
Discord's own sign-in flow (via Supabase Auth) also returns your
Discord email address, display name and avatar URL — this is
Discord/Supabase behavior we don't control, not something we ask
for; we don't use or display your email anywhere in the app.
- Your content: the inventory entries, listings, vault
names and chat messages you create — visible only to you and the
people you share a vault or trade with.
- Infrastructure: the site runs on Cloudflare (edge/CDN,
global by design — that's how a CDN works) and Supabase (database
& authentication, hosted in eu-west-1 / Ireland). Like any
host, they technically process IP addresses and request metadata
to deliver the service — legitimate interest,
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Anonymous usage statistics: we track anonymous usage of
which features get used, in order to improve the service — never
tied to your identity. You can opt out anytime in Account →
Anonymous Usage Statistics. Still no advertising, no marketing
cookies, no third-party analytics, and no data sold or shared. The
only other cookies/storage used are strictly necessary (login
session, a Cloudflare bot-protection cookie, and local UI
preferences in your browser).
- Retention: kept as long as your account exists. Deleting
your account (see Deletion below) erases your personal data from
the live database immediately, not on some later schedule. Daily
database backups (Cloudflare R2, Western Europe region) are kept
for 30 days, so deleted data can persist in a backup for up to 30
days before aging out — backups are only ever used to restore the
service after data loss, never to resurrect deleted accounts.
- Diagnostics: if the site hits a JavaScript error in your
browser, it reports the error text, the page section you were on
and your browser version — with no account identity attached — so
it can be fixed. These reports are log lines kept briefly by
Cloudflare's logging, not stored records.
- Discord as a sub-processor: if you sign in with Discord,
Discord Inc. (USA) processes the OAuth exchange itself, governed by
Discord's own privacy policy —
outside our control, same as any "Sign in with X" button.
- Age: this service is not directed at and should not be
used by anyone under 16.
Your Rights (GDPR)
- Access & rectification: "My Data" in your Account
settings shows everything stored about your account directly, no
need to ask. Your display name and RSI verification are already
self-service editable there; a "Change login email" form is right
next to it. Anything else (or a full export), ask the admin who
approved you.
- Deletion: use "Delete my account" in your Account
settings — always available, immediate self-service. Your personal
data (Discord/email identity, display name, RSI verification) and
your own inventory are erased and the deleted account can never be
signed into again; any Group Vault you own is automatically handed
to another member (preferring an admin, then an officer, then
whoever's been there longest) or removed if nobody's left in it.
Your name is replaced by "Deleted User" everywhere it appears —
vault rosters, past trades, tax and currency records — and the
content of every chat message you wrote is overwritten with
"[message removed]": the deal and thread structure stays intact
for the people you traded with, but your words and name are gone
from all of it. Your own inventory in a Group Vault follows the
same "hand it on, don't destroy it" rule as an owned vault:
anything you'd already given to the group, or lent to another
member, is left in place (ownership/custody adjusts as needed);
only items still fully and exclusively yours are deleted, same as
your Private Vault. You may sign up again later
with the same Discord account or email address — that creates a
completely fresh account (new approval, nothing carried over from
before).
- Objection & complaint: you can object to processing
at any time by deleting your account, and you have the right to
lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
